A father and his son will be tried for making and selling drugs. The investigation ended with the seizure of an amount of marijuana that costs over 300,000 lei on the black market.
Spokesman for the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases Emil Gaitur has told IPN that the criminal group was larger and measures are being taken to identify the other members involved in trafficking in drugs.
The twos sold drugs in Anenii Noi, Chisinau and in the Transnistrian region. They cultivated hemp at home. Following searches carried out by investigation officers at the homes and in the units of transport of the two men, there were found and seized drugs and accessories used to sell them and money earned from drug distribution.
Trafficking in drugs carries a penalty of 7 to 15 years in jail.
