The Socialist MPs said they do not see reasons for voting for the Government led by Igor Grosu as this consists of people who are unable to govern. The MPs of the PPPDA noted that after consultations with the candidate for premiership, they realized that the candidate himself does not want a vote of confidence to be given to his them by Parliament, IPN reports.
The PSRM’s official decision concerning the vote for the Grosu Government will be made public before the March 25 plenary sitting, where the candidate is to ask for a vote of confidence form Parliament. However, the Socialist MPs said they do not have any reason to support the team led by Igor Grosu.
“We do not see any reason to support the Grosu Government. The country needs a Government, but its quality is important. I cannot vote for the Grosu Government as I saw the team he proposed and saw that these are not competent. A compromise should be reached in Parliament, but they want to make us vote for Grosu,” Socialist MP Grigore Novac stated in the talk show “Red Button” on the public TV channel Moldova 1.
The MPs of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” are skeptical about the chances of the Grosu Government being voted in. Even if initially they announced they will support this Government, they now changed their mind.
“They don’t know want they want themselves, either to be voted in or not to be voted in. Initially we wanted to vote for them, but after consultations with the candidate, things became even more unclear. We do not intend to make a show,” said PPPDA MP Vasile Năstase.
Candidate for Prime Minister Igor Grosu is to present his team and government program in Parliament today. Among his Cabinet’s priorities, Grosu enumerated the stabilization of the pandemic situation, clearing of the state institutions of corrupt elements and organization of snap parliamentary elections.
