Fast-food chain fined by tax inspectors

The Gustosel fast-food chain caught the attention of the State Principal Fiscal Inspectorate for illegal business. During a verification, the tax inspectors applied several fines, amounting to a total of 16,000 lei, according to the Contravention Code. Seven stoves have been seized as evidence, IPN reports.

According to a press release of the State Principal Fiscal Inspectorate, the fast-food chain worked without authorizations from the Chisinau City Hall and had unofficial employees. The inspectors found that the chain hired 15 persons who worked illegally for a long time.

The tax authority announced it initiated an internal investigation to find out why the its agents had not discovered the illegal business of the fast-food chain for so long.
