The list of substances that have narcotic effects was extended in the Transnistrian region. It now includes the pills “Fasconal”. A decree to this effect was signed by the Transnistrian leader Yevgeny Shevchuk and already took effect, IPN reports.

According to “Novyi Region” Agency, the decision was taken with a view to toughening up control over narcotic and psychotropic substances with powerful and poisonous effect so as to protect the state of health of the region’s inhabitants.

“Fasconal” is an analgesic drug that is also used against fever. It has four active components, namely codeine, caffeine, paracetamol and acetylsalicylic acid.
