The micro, small and medium-sized agricultural producers will be fully refunded the excise tax on the diesel fuel used since the beginning of this year, which is they will get 2,980 lei per tonne, as a Government decision provides. The Cabinet approved the decision in the wake of the increases in diesel fuel prices nationally and globally, IPN reports.
The excise tax on diesel fuel for all types of uses in the animal breeding sector will also be fully refunded. The large agricultural producers will benefit from subsidies equal to 30% or of 894 lei per tonne.
For the purpose, 120 million lei will be allocated additionally from the National Agriculture and Rural Development Fund. This way, the Fund for the full refund of the excise tax for agricultural producers will be 320 million lei.
In the course of the year, those who intend to get subsidies will be able to file two applications to the local offices of the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture or by an application each half a year. The ceiling for a beneficiary is 200,000 lei annually, which is twice more than earlier. This way, the new provisions will enable the small and medium-scale farms to perform mechanized works on an area of about 800 hectares.
