Farmers have lame resources for farming vineyards
Suspending the Moldovan wines imports to Russia deprived a part of farmers of financial sources necessary for cultivating the vineyards, the chairman of Moldovan Wine Exporters Union (UEVM), Gheorghe Cozub, announced.
According to him, the farmers signed contracts with wine enterprises, according to which they have to benefit from a bonus for vineyards working. If the factories have provided a bonus to certain farmers before suspending wine imports, now they got themselves in a situation when they cannot pay the credits and taxes, or money to many other farmers.
Cozub noted that factories have spent already the credits contracted and should give money to farmers of sold goods.
UEVM chairman mentioned that not only grape growers are affected by wine crisis, and transporters, glass and cardboard factories as well.
Moldova exports to Russian 80% of wine goods, or about 250 million bottles annualy.
