Farmers’ fair without sellers
A farmers’ fair was opened near the South Bus Station four days ago, but no farmer has come yet to sell there. The market’s administration is optimistic and hopes things will change the next days.
“The South Market is situated opposite the Bus Station. It started to work a year ago, but the farmers’ fair was organized for the first time. The fair was opened on October 1, but no farmers expressed readiness to sell their products here. Many farmers are gathering the harvest, while others do not know about the fair. But we have signals that producers will come to sell their merchandise the coming days,” South Market administrator Lilian Ciupac has told Info-Prim Neo.
The administrator said the market is located in a convenient place for the sellers and buyers. “The people can come with their personal vehicles. There is enough space for parking. The market includes more than 100 selling places. The people can buy agricultural products wholesale for winter,” said Lilian Ciupac.
The fair will work round-the-clock until the end of October. The sellers must pay taxes varying between 5 and 50 lei, depending on the place where they sell – from stalls, minibuses or trucks.
