The employees in agriculture, hunting and forestry continue to receive the lowest salaries – 1,400 lei a month on average. However, according to statistics, the salary in these sectors in August rose by 7.4% compared with the same month of last year. In education, the average pay is over 2,300 lei, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the National Statistics Bureau. The highest average salary is paid in the financial-banking sector – 6,000 lei on average. The average salary in the electric power, heat, gas and water supply sector is about 5,000 lei. The average monthly pay in the national economy in January – August was over 2,800 lei. In the budgetary sphere, the average salary was 2,500 lei. It increased by 8.3% compared with the first eight months of last year. The average pay in August was over 3,000 lei. Compared with last August, the gross average salary grew by 10.4%, while the real salary by 2.4%.
