FAO will evaluate damages cause by drought in Transnistria Nistru

The experts of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), who came to Moldova to evaluate the damages of drought, will also visit the Transnistrian region, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a press release of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, the decision was taken today, August 29, at the meeting of the experts’ work group in the field of agriculture and environment in Chisinau and Tiraspol. The effects of the drought on the left side of the Nistru River were one of the subjects discussed by the work group. As a result, the FAO experts decided to visit the Transnistrian region. The results of the study will be reported before the upcoming meeting with foreign donors, which will take place in Chisinau.
