A train on the Chisinau-Bender railway hit a car with a married couple and their 5 month child in it. All three needed hospitalization. The incident happened today, January 5, on Muncesti Street in Chisinau.
Adrian Jovmir, chief of the Chisinau Police press service, told IPN that the circumstances of the accident are still under investigation. So far, it's still unknown what color were the traffic lights when the driver crossed the railway or if the sound alarm system was working.
According to the doctors on duty at the Chisinau municipal medical emergency station, the child suffered brain concussions and head traumas and was sent to the Mother and Child Center, together with his mother, who has only light injuries. The man suffered a brain injury, fractures and multiple traumas.
