Family gets poisoned with insecticides
A man and his two daughters aged 11 months and 7 years suffered insecticide poisoning.
The family that lives in Chisinau paid a visit to Merenii-Noi village and was accommodated overnight in a room where there was kept a sack with powder insecticides. The three felt sick and called an ambulance, coordinating doctor on guard at the Chisinau Emergency Medical Assistance Station Silvia Babara has told Info-Prim Neo.
A man aged 22 from Durlesti town was taken from the local policlinic to the infectious diseases hospital “Toma Ciorba” on suspicion that he had the A (H1N1) flu virus. The man said he has been in contact with several friends of his who returned recently from Greece and Portugal.
A car hit a man aged 22 and another one aged 43 who were riding a bicycle on Dosoftei St in Chisinau. The two men suffered mental shock and contusion of the joints.
Another car drove over the leg of a 22-year-old man near the Southern Bus Station, fracturing his sole bones.
A 76-year-old man in a wheelchair suffered mental shock after struck by a car at the intersection of Pushkin and Alexandru cel Bun streets.
All the injured persons were taken to the Emergency Hospital.
On Monday and on Tuesday night, the Chisinau Emergency Medical Assistance Station responded to 718 calls, including 69 cases of trauma and 73 cases of acute viral infections.
