The International Family Day will be celebrated in Chisinau on May 15. Everyone is invited to take part in the activities that will be carried out in the public garden “Stephan the Great”, Info-Prim Neo reports. Under the program, the organizers of the third Family Festival will meet the public near the fountain at 12 noon. Officials and members of the organizational committee will welcome the participants in the event. Three families will be awarded. They include a pair that is celebrating the golden wedding this year, a family with 11 children and another one with two biological children and 13 adopted ones. Children of the creation center “Artico” and professional artists will give a concert after the festive part. It will last until 6pm. There will be also staged exhibitions of works made by children, sports contests, presentations. The vocational school “Island of Hopes” will display cakes made by students and give hairdo, nail design and makeup masterclasses. The winners will be awarded diplomas, presents and sweets. The third Family Festival is organized under the aegis of the Government of Moldova, in partnership with a number of organizations and ministries. The International Family Day is celebrated in accordance with a decision adopted by the UN General Assembly by a resolution of September 20, 1993.
