This coming Sunday, the Independence Square in Ungheni will host the Family Festival and Europe Day. The organizers, the Ungheni City Hall and UNICEF Moldova, announce that ten areas with entertaining and educational activities have been prepared for visitors of all ages, so that everyone feels part of the European Family in the heart of Ungheni.
One area is “Creative Family”, where painting, drawing and crocheting workshops will be held. In the “United Family” area, workshops called Vertical Labyrinth, Family Board Games, and Family Tree will be organized.
The third area is “Informed Family”, which will hold presentations on parenting and the importance of family, inspirational role models and case studies, games and educational activities. In the “Fantasy in the kitchen” area, visitors will cook delicious recipes together, and in the “Family on the move” area, they will enjoy tennis and badminton, arm wrestling and other sports games.
In the “Family Album” area, family photoshoots will be offered, and in the “Relaxation and Meditation” area, visitors will have a little respite from all the activities.
In “When I grow up” area, visitors will discover the professions of firefighter, rescuer, doctor, police officer, etc., with the demonstration of intervention equipment. In “My Model City” area, the organizers will present the projects that have transformed Ungheni in recent years into a real European city.
The concert area concludes the series. A music show will be presented, featuring Vanotek, Akord, Dana Marchitan, Concertino, Nicolae Paliț, Silvia Zagoreanu, CCM Regina Maria, and ensembles of the Ungheni Palace of Culture. The concert is sponsored by the Moldovan Government.
The 2024 Family Festival is organized by UNICEF and Ungheni City Hall, within the EU4Moldova: Key Regions Program, financed by the European Union and implemented by UNDP and UNICEF.
