Families of persons who died in Pascani quarry to receive state support

The Cabinet decided to allocate by 50,000 lei from the Government’s reserve fund to the families of the three men who died in the November 20 accident at the quarry in Pascani village of Criuleni district, IPN reports.

Prime Minister Pavel Filip offered his condolences to the families of the victims, saying the elucidation of the causes of this incident is a priority for the authorities. He noted that the persons who presumably are to blame for the accident were arrested. In order to prevent such cases in the future, inspections were immediately initiated at all the quarries of the country.

“I want to see the result of this investigation. The inspections should be completed so as to see how the security rules at other companies of the kind are obeyed. The safety of people is the most important thing,” stated the Premier.
