Families from Leova to receive social apartments in August

The residential complex with 92 apartments intended for socially deprived families from Leova district will be finished this August already, by half a year earlier than planned, said Minister of Regional Development and Construction Vasile Batca, who paid a visit to the building site on March 20, IPN reports.

According to the minister, the works were 75% completed. They are much ahead of schedule so that they will be finished half a year earlier than projected.

Press officer of the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction Ecaterina Grigorean said a commission was set up to examine the applications of potential recipients of homes.

The dwellings will be distributed based on a tenancy agreement that will be signed for a definite period of time. The agreement will define the tenancy conditions and tariffs and the rights and obligations of the sides.

The building works started last March. The total cost of the project is €3.4 million. The project is implemented with financial support from the Council of Europe Development Bank. 65% of the sum was provided by the CEB, while the rest is the contribution of the local public authorities.

Since 2013 until now, 171 social apartments have been provided in Calarasi, Briceni, Sangerei, and Hancesti.
