Several Moldovan followers of the Falun Dafa regious movement protested Wednesday against in front of the Justice Ministry, on the International Day of Human Rights. Tatiana Chiriac, the leader of the group demanding to register the Falun Dafa organization in Moldova, has told Info-Prim Neo the action pursues to support the following of this practice from China where they are oppressed and tortured for 9 years. It is also a protest against the Justice Ministry's refusal to register the organization on September 29, for the fourth time. “It's only in China and Moldova that the Falun Dafa followers find it difficult to get registered. Thus, Moldova goes on the list of the countries supporting the reprisals, oppressions and torture,” Tatiana Chiriac said. According to her, the Justice Ministry refuses to register the association because the its emblem is identical to the Fascist swastika. The Falun Dafa followers say the swastika is a very old symbol representing the eternal movement of the Universe, “the life wheel” On the other hand, the head of the press service of the Ministry, Anatolie Simionov, has told Info-Prim Neo the registration was refused, because their documents do not match the legislation. Falun Dafa or Falun Gong is an ancient qigong (Chinese exercises) school, registered in China on May 13, 1992. The school was secret till that moment. According to its followers, the organization has deep roots in the traditional Chinese culture, grounding on three basic truths: truth, kindness and tolerance. It is practiced in 80 countries, including Moldova.
