A number of companies received letters in the name of the Mayor of Chisinau and the City Hall, whereby they are asked to provide humanitarian assistance. Dorin Chirtoaca said Monday that he sent no letter of the kind and these are fakes, Info-Prim Neo reports. “These letters asking for humanitarian aid are false. The City Hall did not send such letters,” said the mayor, calling on the law enforcement bodies to identify the persons who forged the letters. Division head Gabriela Ciumac informed about the given problem, saying he found out about these letters from a former colleague. It was later established that the economic entities received hundred of letters with such requests. The letters indicate a bank account to which the donated money can be transferred. Representatives of the City Hall went to the mentioned bank, but the administrator said he cannot close the account without the beneficiary’s request. The sum collected by these letters has not been yet established.
