All the persons who were in a park of Rascani district of Chisinau were evacuated after a person phoned the police and said that an explosive device was planted there. Andrian Jovmir, head of the press service of the Chisinau Police Division, has told IPN that the bomb threat turned out to be false as the police found no explosive there.

Andrian Jovmir said the call was recorded in the second half of the day. The man who phoned put forward no demands. The caller faces up to two years in jail, a fine and community service for false bomb scare.
