A fallen tree blocked the traffic on Calea Iesilor St near Sculeni St in Chisinau. Several electric power lines and trolleybus lines were damaged.

Contacted by IPN, the head of the Green Areas Managing Company Eliferii Haruta said the tree that fell was green, but the rain wetted the soil around its roots.

The head of the road maintenance company “Exdrupo” Efim Cheptanari said the rain didn’t cause floods in Chisinau. Albisoara St is the only affected area as the water from the Byk River inundated a part of the street.
