Lawmakers of different political parties are pessimistic about the chances of keeping the ruling alliance and the Strelet Government. The issue was developed in the talk show “Moldova live” on the public TV channel Moldova 1, IPN reports.
Liberal-Democratic MP Iurie Tap considers the goal is to fully destroy the political party of which he forms part. “Dodon and Voronin made trenchant statements. There are plausible arguments that the Strelet Government could be dismissed. We hope they will ultimately take a correct decision,” he stated.
Democratic MP Sergiu Sarbu said the party he represents is for keeping the alliance in the current format, on particular conditions. “We want the ruling alliance and the current government to be kept, but this thing also depends on our colleagues from the PLDM. I don’t think we will be able to govern together if they launch harsh initiatives and attacks on us. Our colleagues from the PLDM must overcome the emotions provoked by the arrest of Filat,” he stated.
Socialist lawmaker Vlad Batrancea expressed his conviction that the censure motion against the Strelet Government that the Party of Socialists will put forward will be adopted. “We have already collected 24 signatures in favor of submitting the censure motion. We are glad that the Communist MPs will support us. We have also a number of dismissal proposals,” he said.
Communist MP Anatolie Zagorodnyi said the Communist faction will vote for the dismissal of the Strelet Government. “A coalition government in the created situation cannot exist. After 2009 we had four governments headed by the PLDM, which brought only chaos,” he stated.
The Socialist and Communist MPs hold together 44 seats. A number of 51 votes are needed for the Government to be dismissed. Thus, the Strelet Government can be removed only if some or all of the five unaffiliated MPs and some of the MPs of the ruling alliance vote in favor.
