Fall Fashion Walk to showcase Moldovan brands
The International Women's Club of Moldova, in partnership with the USAID-funded Competitiveness Enhancement and Enterprise Development II Project, will hold on Saturday the Fall Fashion Walk 2012, the second edition of a campaign to promote apparel, footwear and fashion accessories made in Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The show is part of the “Din inima: branduri de Moldova” campaign which aims to increase consumers awareness about Moldovan fashion designers and brands and promote a “buy Moldova” concept.
The event will showcase 190 pieces from Moldovan designers which will be modeled by IWCM members, local celebrities and business leaders. The event will be attended by Moldova's First Lady Margareta Timofti and the wife of the United States Ambassador to Moldova, Marie Moser.
All the proceeds of the event will go to support training of apparel and footwear professionals.
The “Din inima: branduri de Moldova” promotion campaign is an initiative of 15 Moldovan apparel and footwear manufacturers. One of their ideas is to open a common commercial establishment to market their brands.
