Faith of two Supreme Court of Justice vice presidents to be decided at end-July

The Supreme Council of Magistrates at the end of July will examine the application whereby Council member Alexandru Arseni asked dismissing Supreme Court of Justice vice presidents Nina Cernat, acting president, and Natalia Moldovanu. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, Alexandru Arseni said the hearing will take place at the end of the month because Natalia Moldovanu is on vacation, while Nina Cernat is on sick leave. He also said he requested discharging the two vice presidents because they are incompatible with the posts held. On July 4, the Supreme Council of Magistrates recommended Parliament to dismiss the president of the Supreme Court of Justice Ion Muruinau. The legislative body discharged Muruianu the same day, under a bill submitted by the Liberal group. Afterward, the Communist lawmakers demanded examining the constitutionality of the given decision as a matter of urgency.
