Failed classes will be taught outside program
The students of the Chisinau High School “Mihai Eminescu” resumed classes on Monday after a vacation extended owing to a large number of pandemic flu cases recorded in this institution, Info-Prim Neo reports
At Monday's meeting of the Chisinau services and divisions, the head of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport Tatiana Tverdohlev said the students returned to classrooms after a long vacation. She stressed that the the way in which the failed classes will be taught has not been decided yet, but there are several methods possible. The program could be extended by up to two hours when there are five lessons a day. If the classes start at 8.30, there could be introduced the zero class that will begin earlier. Lessons could be also given on Saturday or even during the winter vacation. The given proposals were submitted by parents and teachers, Tverdohleb said.
Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca insisted that the students be allowed to rest during the winter vacation and told the teachers to ask the students' opinion about this.
By November 20, the presence of the pandemic flu virus had been confirmed in 20 kindergarten children and two adults working in nursery schools in Chisinau as well as in 45 students and one teacher.
