Faction leaders hold talks on election of head of state
The talks over the election of the head of state with the Communists
Party will be held at the level of leaders of parliamentary groups
because Vladimir Voronin is 'full of emotions', the president of the PDM
and Moldova's Acting Presdient Marian Lupu said, quoted by Info-Prim
Neo.
"I saw that the leader of the PCRM was full of emotions. In order to
avoid such emotions that hinder the dialogue, we thought it would be
more rational if the talks are held between leaders of parliamentary
groups who are representative persons," Marian Lupu said in a discussion
with the press on Saturday, after the meeting of the PDM's National
Council.
"Until now, we heard only proposals. We must analyze them to see if they
are serious and relevant. On the one hand, there are bills concerning
the Central Election Commission and the Audit Office, put forward by the
Opposition. On the other hand, I see no connection between these claims
as they seem like moves aimed at obtaining dividends. It is a difficult
task and our colleagues are working in this respect," Marian Lupu said.
The president of the PDM also said that they have not yet discussed what
compromises everyone is ready to make. There should be clarity if the
PCRM really wants to help overcome the political crisis. "If they do not
accept, they will assume responsibility for the perpetuation of the
crisis," Marian Lupu said.
