The plots of land that are needed for building roads bypassing the village Bahmut and the town Ungheni to the Rl highway will be bought by this yearend. The rehabilitation and extension works will start next March and will last for almost one year.
Contacted by IPN, Andrei Cuculescu, division head at the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure, said the owners gave their consent to selling the given plots that will be purchased at market prices. The plots for extending the national road Chisinau – Cimislia – Vulcanesti – Giurgiulesti (M3) will be bought next year.
The state will buy about 220 hectares of land to the value of 9.59 million lei in order t rehabilitate and extend the two highways. The costs will be covered with money from the 2013 Road Fund.
