The program for filing applications for Romanian nationality has been extended. The National Citizenship Authority of Romania announced that until December 23, the registration and submission of application will be possible from Monday through Thursday between 8:30am and 4:30pm, while on Fridays between 8:30am and 1:30pm, IPN reports.

So far the applications to the National Citizenship Authority could be submitted only on Wednesdays and Fridays, between 9am and 5pm.

The Authority explained that a higher number of applications were filed to the local officers over the last few months and the existent personnel coped with difficulty. Furthermore, the extension of the program of work with the public will support and fluidize the process of submitting and registering applications for Romanian nationality.

The applications will be filed to the National Citizenship Authority of Bucharest municipality, which is based at 3 Smardan St.

After January 4, 2016, applications to the National Citizenship Authority in Bucharest will be submitted on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, between 8:30am and 4:30pm.
