Exports of grapes and non-bottled wine have increased, Agriculture Ministry

The annulment of the restrictions on the export of grapes and non-bottled wine produced the expected results, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Valeriu Cosarciuc said in a news conference, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The minister said the analyses showed that the sales abroad have increased. 847 tonnes of grapes were exported in October alone. 240 tonnes had been sold during the other months since the harvesting began. The exports of non-bottled wine, cognac and wine distillates older than 5 have also increased. “In the months before October, the exports of such products totaled US$10 million, while in October – US$17 million,”Valeriu Cosarciuc said. The contracts negotiated by the economic entities for November-December show that the exports of wine products will go up, the minister added. The wine products are exported to Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine. The economic entities are free to export where and when they want as the state does not interfere in their activity.
