An explosion occurred on the evening of December 25 in an apartment in Chisinau, located on Nicolae Zelinski St. A 34-year-old man, the owner of the house, suffered burns, IPN reports.
The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations said that the explosion rocked a third-floor apartment in a four-story building. Three windows were broken as a result of the explosion, but no fire occurred.
Arriving at the scene, the firefighters carried out works to dismantle the affected construction. Preliminarily, it was established that repairs were being made in the apartment and slightly flammable substances were used to paint the walls, which, most likely, led to the accumulation of gases and to an explosion.
The injured man was given medical care on the spot and was not hospitalized.
