Explosion on Causeni gas main caused damage of about 3.5m lei
The November 8 explosion on a gas main in Causeni district caused damage estimated at about 3.5 million lei. According to estimates, 2 million lei represents the losses of gas, while 1.5 million lei – the costs of repairing the damaged section of the pipe, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the press service of Moldovagaz.
The works to replace the damaged pipe were completed on November 10. On the same day, the company Stefan Voda-Gaz started to reconnect the facilities of social importance, the economic entities and the population of Causeni and Stefan-Voda districts to the gas supply. 6,000 consumers have been reconnected by November 12. The supply of gas to the consumers of the two districts will be normalized by November 15.
The state commission for the investigation of the causes of the explosion will present its conclusions and recommendations by November 20.
