Two men and a minor boy from Saiti village of Causeni district were taken to the hospital with burns as a result of a blast that caused a fire in a house. According to the Civic Protection and Emergencies Service, the owner of the house connected a gas cylinder to the stove in the summer kitchen together with a relative. The explosion occurred when they lit a match to check the connection, IPN reports.
Consequently, the two men aged 47 and 33 and a minor boy of 15 who was inside the kitchen suffered burns, while half of the structure’s ceiling fell down. The three were helped to go out by neighbors, who also called the firemen. The victims were taken to the hospital by an ambulance. Their state is now stable.
Firefighters warn that gas cylinders pose a threat when they are installed and used incorrectly. These must be connected to the stove only by specialists.
