The managers of a dental center for children based in the municipality of Chisinau are suspected of tax evasion. Drugs with the use-by date expired were found at the clinic. A part of these were made abroad and were purchased from unauthorized persons who didn’t have legal documents of origin, IPN reports.
The General Police Inspectorate said the dental center has worked for four years and is a family business. Besides expired drugs, the police also seized over 7,000 lei that wasn’t recorded through the cash register and wasn’t indicated in the company’s financial records.
The two suspects aged 40 and 41 face a fine of 60,000 to 100,000 lei or up to six years in jail for tax evasion.
