Experts from Nistru's banks discuss projects on optimizing road infrastructure
The Transnistrian region must implicitly benefit from grants offered to Moldova for repairing roads. The common group of experts from both banks of the Nistru river agreed on this. The consultations unfolded in Bender, on November 19, and were attended by EU and OSCE representatives.
The parties discussed the road infrastructure of the Transnistrian region. The so-called international corridors must be similar on both banks of the Nistru, the experts concluded.
Alexandru Rozenberg, the head of the Transnistrian experts’ group, emphasized the need to catalog the roads from the left bank of the Nistru.
Another problem discussed is optimizing the travelers' traffic. The opportunity to open new routes is also under discussion, on condition that these should be profitable and suit the interests of travelers from both banks.
The next reunion between the groups of experts is scheduled in the quarters of the OSCE Mission to Chisinau. It will take place in the middle of December. The parties will endorse the agreements reached on November 19. They will also discuss the issue on giving Transnistria the permit for freight transit.
