A number of organizations financed by Russia are destabilizing the situation in Moldova and are causing different conflicts, including by acts of separatism. Such a statement was made in the program “Fabrika” on Publika TV channel, IPN reports.
Valentin Dediu, former vice director of the Security and Information Service (SIS), said he possesses information that a number of parties and organizations pursue the goal of destabilizing the situation. They play the game of another state and want to cause a rupture between northern and southern Moldova. Among the political parties, Dediu mentioned the Parry of Socialists headed by Igor Dodon.
Dediu noted he knows that a high-ranking official from Gagauzia recently took actions that are separatist in character. He presented a map of the Gagauz autonomous unit, which “must become independent from Moldova”, as this official said.
The former SIS vice director added that dangers are also faced in northern Moldova. He gave as example the acts of Bishop Markel, who is personally involved in activities aimed at dividing society. “I saw him leaving for Moscow. He then returned and held a news conference to transmit splitting messages,” said General Valentin Dediu.
Unaffiliated lawmaker Mihai Godea said that a plan of Russia started to be implemented in the region. “Everyone was calm until those green people appeared. Different ethnic-cultural organizations had been founded in Moldova over the last few years. Their activities are not at all typical of the activities of a classical ethnic organization. The clergy includes agents of the Russian special services who wear cassocks. Moscow wants to gain control of Moldova not by use of arms. It intends to do this by this autumn’s elections,” he stated.
In an interview for Radio Free Europe recently, SIS director Mihai Balan said that over 100 NGOs, services and organizations, parties and media outlets are ready to tear this piece of land apart.
