Expensive drinks without documents of origin identified in hotel in Chisinau

The police identified numerous irregularities at a hotel in Chisinau, which provided sauna, massage and restaurant services. Following inspections carried out based on complaints from clients, the police determined that the food for clients was prepared in insanitary conditions and found a large batch of expensive alcoholic drinks without documents of origin, IPN reports.

According to the Chisinau Police Division, there were also identified dubious bookkeeping records and draft registers concerning the collected amounts and stored food products as well as serious violations of the hygiene rules and inappropriate protection equipment in the laundry section. The show window of the minibar in the hall didn’t meet the legal standards, while some of the food products had the use-by date expired. The hotel’s personnel weren’t employed in accordance with the law as seven employees didn’t have all the required documents.

The proofs identified at the scene were sealed and stored until a court decision is passed. Under the legislation, the business entity that runs the hotel faces a fine of up to 20,000 lei and confiscation of the seized products. Also, the competent institutions dealing with human rights protection and public servicing will later notify the local public authority that issued the license to the company so that this takes attitude.
