The General Public Transport and Communications Division of the Chisinau Municipal Council said 21,000 square meters of street have been repaired in Chisinau so far. “The streets are stopped up and marked. The pluvial drainage channels are being cleaned,” the Division's head Veaceslav Tarna said at Monday's meeting of the Chisinau City Hall, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The street markings on A. Pushkin and G. Banulescu-Bodoni streets have been renewed. The roads going to Colonita, Budesti, Sangera, and Dobruja have been stopped up. Stopping works are now carried out on the Chisinau – Vadul lui Voda road. The Division plans to start extensively repairing a number of streets in Chisinau. Among these streets are Mircea cel Batran and Mihai Sadoveanu. The works might be yet postponed if it starts to rain, as it was forecast. The works to build a street that will connect Studentilor St in Rascani district and Igor Vieru St in Ciocana district will start this year. Recently, the Chisinau Council decided to double the budget of the Public Transport Division to 100 million lei.
