Expectations of joint meeting of Governments met

The expectations of the Romanian and Moldovan officials of the March 3 joint meeting of the executives have been met. “The meeting ended with the signing of a larger number of agreements and, by the signatures of the Prime Ministers, we launched a strategic action plan on Moldova’s integration into the EU,” Romanian PM Mihai-Razvan Ungureanu said in a news conference in Iasi, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The Romanian official stressed that they aim to develop the business environment, initiate large-scale energy projects, and develop sports in the two countries. “We are grateful that the Moldovan authorities accepted our invitation,” said Mihai-Razvan Ungureanu. For his part, the Moldovan Premier expressed his satisfaction with the results of the meeting. “This format of meetings is favorable. The ministers were able to discuss problems and solutions to them, future projects. The interconnection of the gas pipelines is a top priority. We have clear objectives in the area of road infrastructure as well,” said Vlad Filat. He thanked the Romanian authorities for the possibility of studying at Romanian universities offered to the Moldovan young people. “The cooperation between our states in this field is rather efficient,” stated Vlad Filat. The Premiers announced that the date of the next joint meeting of the executives is to be set. The meeting will most probably take place in Chisinau or in Ungheni.
