Existence of ‘blacklist’ not confirmed
The existence of a ‘blacklist’ of economic entities that are banned from entering the Transnistrian region hasn’t been confirmed, the Reintegration Office said after contacting representatives of the Tiraspol administration, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In a communiqué, the Reintegration Office says the situation is monitored and effort is made to prevent the creation of impediments to free movement. “The ensuring of free movement is one of the key elements for building confidence between the people from both sides of the Nistru, being also one of the priorities in the Transnistrian conflict settlement process,” reads the communiqué.
The so-called ‘blacklist’ appeared in the press several days ago. The press reported that the ban was imposed after a group of Moldovan businessmen took part in a forum of businesspeople from both sides of the Nistru River. The forum was organized by the European Business Association (EBA) in Chisinau and in Tiraspol several months ago. Those who took part in the even received a letter from the organizers by which they are recommended not to go to the eastern districts of the country.
