Exhibition on 90th birthday of first Parliament Speaker

A commemorative exhibition on the occasion of the 90th birthday of the first Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, Alexandru Moșanu, was mounted in the Parliament Building. The Parliament’s museum houses a selection of books and articles written by historian, academician and politician Alexandru Moșanu and also archive photographs showing his life and work, IPN reports, quoting the legislative body’s press service.

The visitors will be able to see data and events referring to Alexandru Moșanu and a video with fragments of speeches of the politician.

Alexandru Moșanu was born on July 19, 1932 and died in 2017, at the age of 85. He sat in Parliament in 1990-2001 and served as Speaker during 1990-1993. He was a remarkable historian, politician, university professor, doctor habilitate of historical sciences and a member of honor of the Romanian Academy.
