Exhibition of paintings at residence of Ambassador of Poland

Alexandr Drobaha, a Moldovan artist of Ukrainian origin connected to the Polish culture, exhibited his paintings at the residence of Poland’s Ambassador to Moldova. Artur Michałski has told IPN that his residence often hosts exhibitions. He gave as example the current exhibition and the one mounted last week by a group of artists.

The ambassador decided to invite Alexandr Drobaha to exhibit his works because he considers his paintings beautiful and he likes their colors. The paintings transmit a rich message, while their author is special because he is a Moldovan of Ukrainian origin and with a powerful connection to Polish culture.

The exhibition was honored by the presence of a number of ambassadors from European states and representatives of the Polish and Ukrainian diasporas in Moldova. “By this event, we strengthen the relationships between communities. It is an evening of the Polish-Moldovan-Ukrainian art in Chisinau,” stated Artur Michałski.

Artist Alexandr Drobaha said he has a particular emotional baggage, as many painters born in village. He lived in an area that enabled him to know the people and nature: land, garden, forest. He is from a family of artists and people of art. The world about which he learned when he was small is now present on his paintings. Each painting includes hidden goals of the authors, expressed by forms. The artist said he likes realistic paintings that can be simply admired and they fascinate you.

The visitors can purchase paintings displayed at the exhibition and sale for €75 to €500.
