The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations performed an exercise at the passenger terminal of the Chisinau International Airport on Monday morning. According to the scenario, a number of rescue and firefighting teams were dispatched to the scene to deal with a fire as part of a high-level intervention operation, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the Inspectorate.
The specialized firefighting teams of the Chisinau International Airport were the first to intervene. Together with teams of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, these evacuated passengers from the risk area.
The goals pursued as part of the operation included the testing of the joint intervention plan in emergencies and ensuring of cooperation between the intervention teams of the Chisinau International Airport and the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations.
