The head of the storehouse of the municipal road maintenance company “Exdrupo” was fired. Dumitru Rata is suspected of being involved in the illegal construction of a road of 500 meters in Durlesti town. The announcement was made by the Mayor General of Chisinau municipality Dorin Chirtoaca on July 1, IPN reports.

The mayor said he was provided with information that the employee illegally used the company’s construction materials in order to build a road to his house that is situated in a luxury quarter. According to this information, a part of the company’s equipment was taken to build that road in Durlesti, instead of being used to repair streets in Chisinau.

Dorin Chirtoaca asked the General Public Transport and Communications Division to launch an internal inquiry into this case. The head of “Exdrupo” Efim Cheptanari said that he knows nothing about this case and that no building materials disappeared from the company’s storehouse.
