Exams for legal professionals could be recodrded, shown online

Liberal MPs Valeriu Munteanu, Corina Fusu, Ion Hadirca and Mihai Ghimpu propose a legislative initiative regarding the live broadcasting of internship and license exams for lawyers, judges, and prosecutors, reports Info-Prim Neo. According to a communiqué from the PL, the entire exam session would be recorded and broadcasted online, both for the written and oral parts. The recorded videos will be archived and available for copying upon request, as granted by the Law on the matter. The authors believe that this bill will ensure transparency in the activity of the Licensing Commission and the admission Committee of the National Institute of Justice, and would terminate corruption and influenced decisions of the committee members. Additionally, the Liberal MPs point out that their initiative assures equal chances to people who want to become lawyers, judges or prosecutors. “Implementing the video recording and online broadcasting will help eliminate adverse selection in the field, and will help strengthen justice in Moldova”, the abstract of the bill mentions. The bill proposed by the Liberals has been registered with the Parliament.
