Ex-minister of economy and infrastructure Anatol Usatyi will run for the post of mayor of the municipality of Chisinau on behalf of the Party of Development and Consolidation of Moldova, the party’s leader Ion Chicu, former Prime Minister, has announced.
The decision to field Anatol Usatyi, who is the deputy chairman of the Party of Development and Consolidation of Moldova, was taken by the party’s National Political Council. The Council decided that the party will contend in the local general elections of 2023, IPN reports.
Anatol Usatyi served as minister of economy and infrastructure in the Chicu Government. He also sat in the Government led by Pavel Filip but left the Cabinet after June 2019.
