A former employee of the Râșcani branch of a bank was sentenced to five years and a half in jail for appropriation in considerable amounts, IPN reports, quoting the Prosecutor General’s Office

In February-June 2020, having free access to the financial resources of which she was in charge, the woman stole over 3.5 million lei from the bank. The woman admitted her guilt, saying she needed the money to pay a clairvoyant for her services.

The court ordered that the woman pay damages equal to the damage caused to the bank by her offense. The real estate owned by the woman was sequestrated.
