Ex-deputy prime minister Valerian Cristea was appointed as deputy mayor of Orhei town. The former Communist MP will be in charge of the social sphere, IPN reports, quoting the official website of the Orhei mayor’s office.
In the same meeting, the Orhei Town Council designated another two deputy mayors. These are the former acting head of Rascani district of Chisinau Reghina Apostolova, who will be responsible for the problems in construction and infrastructure, and ex-director of the Public Property Agency Igor Grigoriev, who will be in charge of the economic sphere.
The Orhei Town Council has 27 councilors. Of these, 13 represent the Sociopolitical Movement “Ravnopravie”, by three the PLDM and PL, by two the PDM and the Electoral Bloc PPEM, and by one the PSRM, PPPN and the Electoral Bloc “People’s List”.
