Former minister of economy Alexandru Muravski said that if snap elections are held, changes could occur as regards the number of seats won by political parties, but there will be no radical changes as to the obtaining of a real majority of seats by a party. That’s why eventually the same parties will be put in the situation to find a government solution and the political crisis could last. The issue was developed in the talk show “Important” on TVC21 channel, IPN reports.
Alexandru Muravscki said the Shor Party could win more votes in snap elections and a part of the voters of the Socialists could support this party. The Shor Party could thus get by 2-3 seats more.
The ex-minister noted the Bloc ACUM has rather reliable voters, but a part of the population in autumn goes abroad and it is hard to mobilizer the diaspora. Ass regards the Socialists, everything depends on how these could attract what remained of the Our Party. The Party of Communists will either mobilize or will support the Socialists. The Democratic Party will win practically the same number of seats in snap elections.
According to Alexandru Muravscki, a political crisis after the eventual snap parliamentary elections cannot be allowed, as it happened after this February’s elections. The parties that will enter Parliament will be put in the situation to form the Government. “The situation after the snap elections will change even if the composition of Parliament remains relatively the same. The parties will be obliged to find a solution,” he stated.
Politologist Dumitru Chubashenko said it is hard to anticipate the results of eventual snap elections. “Surprises are not excluded. The Socialists until now have been in a comfortable situation, but things can change swiftly if they are attacked,” he noted, adding a new center-right political bloc could appear. “Things are unclear and the risks are big.”
