EU's €60 million offer to Tiraspol remains unchanged

The €60 million in financial aid offered by the EU can only be activated when Tiraspol fulfills all the conditions the authorities have previously talked about. Specifically, "the budgeted money will not change its destination until further announcements to this effect from the European institutions".

This is the answer of the government spokesman, Daniel Voda, asked by IPN what will happen with the money allocated by the European Union to support the Transnistrian region in the energy crisis, IPN reports.

The European Union last week announced additional conditional financial aid worth 60 million euros for the Transnistrian region. Tiraspol has refused the support. According to Prime Minister Dorin Recean, accessing these funds would be a solution to free the Transnistrian region from blackmail and energy instability.
