The Eurovision national final will take place on February 29. The decision was taken after the live auditions stage held on February 1. Twenty singers will compete in the final that is to produce a winner, IPN reports.
The organizational committee of Eurovision 2020 said there were sung 34 songs. Liusea Znamenski asked to be excluded from the competition, while Diana Brescan didn’t show up.
The national final will be hosted by the public TV channel Moldova 1, with televoting as a component part of the jurying process. The final will involve: Geta Burlacu, Alexandru Cibotaru, Maria Ciolac, Petronela Donciu and Andreea Portărescu, Natalia Gordienco, Julia Ilienko ft. Mishel Dar-Tears, Irina Kit, Dima Jelezoglo, Lanjeron, Sasha Letty, Live Beat, Denis Midone, Viorela Moraru, Pasha Parfeni, Valeria Pașa, Dianna Rotaru, Lavinia Rusu, Catarina Sandu, Valentin Uzun and Irina Kovalsky, and Maxim Zavidia.
The 65th Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The grand final was set for May 16, with the semifinals arranged for May 12 and 14. Last year, Moldova’s Anna Odobescu failed to qualify for the final.
