We can’t but express our commendation for this agenda and promise we’ll help you in implementing it”, mentioned Gunnar Hokmark. The vice president of the EPP said he was proud that Vlad Filat’s party, PLDM, was a member of the EPP. “For me, it’s clear Moldova is an European state. That means we have to treat Moldova accordingly. So we salute the progress and the improvements achieved in Moldova so far”, he added. Prime Minister Vlad Filat thanked Gunnar Hokmark and the EPP for the support offered in improving the relationship between Moldova and the EU, especially in such key issues as the liberalization of the visa regime and joining the European Common Aviation Area. The PLDM leader mentioned that thanks to EPP partners, the Transnistrian conflict became a major topic of discussion with Russia, which means a viable solution of reunifying Moldova could be found.
