European Parliament to discuss sociopolitical situation in Moldova

Prime Minister Vlad Filat, the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM), is taking part today, June 9, in the hearing on the sociopolitical situation in Moldova held at the European Parliament. The hearing was organized by the Group of the European People's Party, Info-Prim Neo reports. Vlad Filat said he will go to Brussels accompanied by several MPs of the Liberal Democratic Party. On June 9 in the morning, Vlad Filat will have meetings with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton, with whom he will discuss the relations between Moldova and the European Union and the Transnistrian dispute. “We see progress in this process and this is very important for us,” Vlad Filat said, referring to the hearings. On June 13, the Premier will go to Luxemburg, where the Moldova-EU Partnership and Cooperation Council will have a meeting on June 15 and the talks on the liberalization of the visa regime with the EU will be opened.
